Bodybuilding.com App Change/Update LogUpdated a month ago
March 3, 2026 (5.2.4): This update improves navigation by introducing the Workouts screen as the new default landing page, fixes multiple workout logging and session persistence issues, enhances search accuracy and journal tracking, stabilizes login and shop performance, and resolves several bugs to improve overall app reliability.
- Refined Navigation & New Default Screen
- Upon logging into the app, users now land directly on the Workouts screen instead of the Social Feed. We have also reorganized the bottom navigation bar for easier access to key features:
- Workouts
- Shop
- Social Feed
- Profile
- *NOTE: When leaving a workout, the confirmation message has been updated to clearly indicate that the session can be resumed from the "My Activities" tab.
- Upon logging into the app, users now land directly on the Workouts screen instead of the Social Feed. We have also reorganized the bottom navigation bar for easier access to key features:
- Precise Workout Logging & Progress Integrity
- A series of issues regarding the logging of sets and exercises has been resolved. The app will no longer "skip" steps or automatically log sets without user intervention after pausing. Additionally, deleted sets will no longer mysteriously re-appear, and manually added sets remain permanently saved even after exiting the app.
- Session Persistence on Completion
- Fixed a bug where the final set was not recorded as completed if a user paused the workout immediately before clicking "Complete Workout." Returning to the workout now accurately displays the status of all completed steps with the corresponding green check marks.
- Enhanced Workout Journal & Warmup Logic
- Corrected the display in Workout Journal, which previously favored only "warm-up" sets. Now all sets are correctly logged and displayed.
- Resolved an issue where different set types for the same exercise were merged, ensuring a clean and transparent work-out history.
- Shop Stability & Category Loading
- Resolved the "black screen" issue when opening product categories in the Shop. The hamburger menu and product loading now function fluidly, even when accessing the Shop immediately after launching the app.
- Robust Login & Profile Sync
- Fixed a critical bug that caused users to be randomly logged out when quickly accessing the Profile menu after an app restart. Your session is now stable, and "start_time" data is correctly generated for all activity types, including video-only workouts.
- Intelligent Exercise Search
- We have improved the search logic in the "Move Library." Search results are now stricter and more relevant. Typing "decline" will no longer show "incline" exercises, and words such as "bicy" will filter results to show only those containing that specific character sequence.
- System Stability
- Implemented several fixes based on reports, resolving specific exceptions that caused occasional app crashed in edge-case usage scenarios.
January 22, 2026 (5.2.2): This update improves workout tracking accuracy, fixes manual input and timer reliability, resolves navigation and subscription display issues, and ensures profile data and pricing information are saved and displayed correctly.
- Improved Data Logging for Scheduled Workouts
- We refined the logic for scheduled activities to prevent incorrect status updates. The app now correctly handles movement data without prematurely marking workouts as scheduled, ensuring more accurate tracking.
- Precision in Manual Input of Reps/Weights
- Fixed a bug in the 'weight' and 'reps' field where manual entries were being overwritten by auto-correction logic. Rep and weight increments now calculate correctly from the current value, and manually entered numbers are preserved exactly as typed.
- Background Support for Workout Timers
- The total workout timer and set timers now continue to run even if you switch apps or leave the app during a rest period. Your session progress and rest intervals stay synced in real-time.
- Reliable Standalone Workout Resumption
- Standalone workouts now correctly resume from the exact timestamp where you left off. Whether you navigate back or close the app, you can pick up your session without losing your place.
- Subscription Selection Consistency
- Resolved a UI glitch where the subscription toggle would reset to 'Monthly' after viewing the free trial screen. Your choice between 'Monthly' and 'Yearly' plans now remains consistent throughout the checkout proces
- Program Navigation and Missing Workout Fix
- Fixed a critical error that caused empty screens and "FormatException" when attempting to access programs with missing workout data. Navigation within programs like "FYR 2.0" is now stable and error-free.
- Profile Weight Persistence
- Corrected a synchronization issue where updated weight information would reset to zero after restarting the app. Your physical profile data is now securely saved and remains visible upon every login.
- Workout Session Integrity from Calendar
- Resuming a paused workout from the calendar now correctly picks up from the last timestamp instead of starting a new session. Additionally, pausing a workout no longer prematurely ends the activity.
- Clean Pricing Display on Signature Products
- Fixed a display bug in the Shop where certain products, like the Signature 100% Isolate, showed duplicate prices.
January 15, 2026 (5.2.1): This update delivers stability and performance improvements, resolving previously reported issues and enhancing overall reliability across the app.
